Medicine Womyn's Retreat XVII: Embers & Equinox

  • Metta Earth Institute 334 Geary Road South Lincoln, VT, 05443 United States (map)

We will gather among the gardens, fields, and fires of this magical homestead, rooted in earth, sky, and the quiet wisdom of the ancestors. Here, thresholds are honored, voices rise, bodies move, and song carries us across the turning of the season.

Through ceremony, drumming, dance, and shared reflection, we will witness, listen, and awaken presence, honoring the bones of those who came before, the land that holds us, and the fire that burns within.

This day is alive with movement, music, and sared ceremony and living ritual- fires to gather around, elders and medicine womyn of all ages to share wisdom, and spaces to explore, embody, and receive. More will unfold as we step closer together into this liminal, sacred place.

Sarah will be teaching a workshop at this powerful retreat called Bone-Deep: The Science and Spirit of Ancestor Work. Learn about ancestral mathematics, the science of genetics and how every one of us shares a common mother who lived 155,000 years ago. We will move through the sacred work of how to connect only with the well and healed ancestors in your line, how to build an ancestor altar at home, and how to honor the ones whose bones made yours.

We will close with a short guided meditation and a processional to a shared altar; bringing something from your own lineage to add. This is ancestor work for anyone who has ever felt the weight of lineage - the beautiful parts and the hard ones. You don’t need to know your family tree. You don’t need to have done this before. You just need your breath, your bones, and your willingness to remember. 🦴
